The CrossFit Open 2014 is quickly approaching and we are excited to participate in this international CrossFit competition! The Open is a chance for you to prove your growth as an athlete over the past year and see where you stand among CrossFitters throughout the world. It is a series of five workouts (one workout is released each week) designed to challenge your athleticism and push you to the limits of your capabilities. We strongly encourage you to sign up and participate. If you’re on the fence about joining, take a look at this article: The Party We All Get to Crash. Then head over to the official CrossFit Games site to register. Registration closes on February 27th.
The Logistics of The Open:
-The first workout of the 2014 season will be announced Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 5 p.m. PT. The remaining workouts will be released this same each Thursday following.
-OPEN WODs will be scheduled every Friday starting February 28 for the next 5 weeks.
-For anyone participating in the Open, we are hosting weekly throwdowns on Saturdays at 11:30am. At this time, you will be able to complete the Open Workout with a judge and verified score. Additionally, you will be asked to judge the workout for another Open competitor.
-For anyone participating, we also ask that you take this quick online course to become a judge. This course provides vital information regarding movement standards that will greatly benefit you as both an athlete and a judge.
