Growing up I had pretty poor health due mostly to unhealthy eating and never exercising. I was in pretty bad shape. I was overweight with a bunch of health issues including severe asthma. It wasn’t until I was 17 that I started to change that by challenging myself more often. Playing sports, going hiking and working out 3 or more times a week really started to change my life for the better but it still wasn’t quite enough. This eventually led me to find this brand new thing called CrossFit. All I knew about it was it was challenging, which of course made me just have to try it. After I picked myself up off the floor after my first WOD, I was hooked. It moved me to get my certification to coach others and help them to better their lives through CrossFit just as I have. There’s no greater feeling than helping someone reach their goals and CrossFit 201 is the best place around to do it! Since then I’ve developed a love for CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting which is a love that I truly enjoy sharing with all who come into our box.
